This agreement covers testing Route to Twenty before it is publicly released. It is written in plain language on purpose. You accept it by typing your name in the signature box at the bottom of this page. If you would rather not, do nothing further and the invitation lapses. A tester who signed an earlier version on paper remains covered by that signed copy.
A pre-release copy of the app, for your own use on your own device, while the beta runs. It is delivered through Google Play's testing program or Apple's TestFlight, and Google's or Apple's own terms also apply. The app is unfinished. Screens will change, figures will be corrected, and features may appear and disappear between builds.
(a) You take part as a private individual, on your own time and your own device. The beta is not part of, and is not connected to, any duty, assignment or official function you hold.
(b) You are not paid, and you receive nothing of value for taking part beyond use of the beta app. You are not an employee, contractor or agent of Noventra Labs.
(c) You may decline, pause or withdraw at any time, for any reason or none. Your decision, and anything you say about the app, will have no effect on any working relationship you have with anyone connected to Noventra Labs.
(d) Do not test the app or discuss the beta while on duty. Do not use City or Department time, equipment, phones, computers, networks or email for it.
(e) Do not give Noventra Labs any Department or City record, any confidential information, or any information about another member. Your feedback should come from your own use of the app and from public documents.
Route to Twenty is a modeling and education tool. It is not financial, legal, tax or pension advice, and nothing it shows is a promise of what you will be paid. Only the New York City Police Pension Fund makes the official calculation of any benefit, and only your pay statement is the official statement of your pay. Do not retire, decline a promotion, take a loan or make any other decision on the app's figures alone. Where the app marks a figure as not yet confirmed, the rule behind it has not been confirmed in writing.
Until the app is publicly released, do not post screenshots, recordings or builds anywhere public, and do not pass the app or the test link to anyone who was not invited. You may show the app to a colleague on your own phone and talk about it. It is not a secret; it is just not finished.
Anything you tell us about the app, such as a bug, a wrong number, a rule we have missed or a screen that confuses you, we may use freely to improve Route to Twenty, without owing you anything for it. We will not name you as a tester or attribute your feedback to you in public. Before you send us a screenshot, cover anything personal. Never send us your pension statement, pay statement or any other personal record.
(a) In the app. What you enter is stored on your phone only. Nothing you enter is sent to Noventra Labs or anyone else. Your phone's own backup, if you have it turned on, may include the app's data. Deleting the app deletes what you entered.
(b) What we hold. We hold only what you give us to join the beta: the email address used for the test, the rank, tier and years-of-service band you entered, and the record of your signature below (your name, the date and time, and the version signed). We use the first three only to run the beta and remove them when the beta closes or when you leave it; we keep the signature record for as long as this agreement has effect. See the privacy statement.
Do not reverse-engineer the app or extract its reference data or calculation engine. Do not use the beta to build, or help anyone build, a competing product. Do not present the app or its figures as endorsed by the Department, the City, the Pension Fund or any union. They are not.
Route to Twenty, its calculation engine, its reference data and its design are owned by Noventra Labs LLC. This agreement gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the beta app while the beta runs, and nothing more. The public documents the app cites remain public records.
The beta is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Noventra Labs is not liable for any loss arising from your use of a pre-release build or from reliance on its figures. Section 3 is there so that this sentence never matters.
You can stop at any time by telling us or by deleting the app. We can end the beta, or your part in it, at any time. Sections 4 (until public release), 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 continue after it ends.
New York law governs this agreement. If any part cannot be enforced, the rest still stands. Questions go to support@noventraconsulting.com. Version 3, October 2026.

You are not required to sign electronically: write to support@noventraconsulting.com for a paper copy instead.
